I am not much of Star Wars fan. There may be robots and intergalactic travel, but I think its more so fantasy that happens to be in space with a nod to technology. And even as fantasy, its not particularly good. The originals are okay, they still hold up. But there is way more low quality Star Wars media than there is content that is good and enjoyable. But, yeah, made this for a friend. You can tell I only cared so much about this piece because I don’t have a current photo and I even handed it off incomplete. In the end, there was more definition in the eyes and maybe horns? I don’t care. It was a fun study on symmetry but not exactly challenging – I only used four different colors, maybe, and there was next to no mixing. Great work for a beginner, but I have failed to impress myself. Not to mention Darth Maul is one of the most one-dimensional characters in the Star Wars universe who only got somewhat fleshed-out posthumously. And, to be clear, I thought Star Wars lackluster even before Disney bought Lucas Arts.
